Privacy policy
What we collect. Only what you choose to give us: your name, email address and message when you write to us, your email address if you join our newsletter, and the details you share with us on WhatsApp when you enquire or order (for example sizes, delivery address and reference photos).
How we use it. To reply to you, to prepare quotes and orders, to deliver what you buy, and, if you joined the newsletter, to send you news and new work. We do not sell your personal data.
Who handles it. Newsletter sign-ups are stored in a Google spreadsheet we control. Messages sent from the contact form go to our email inbox. WhatsApp conversations are handled by WhatsApp under its own terms. Fonts on this site are loaded from Google Fonts, which may receive your IP address when a page loads.
Your choices. You can ask us to see, correct or delete your data, or to remove you from the newsletter, at any time by emailing us. We keep enquiry and order details only as long as needed to serve you and meet our legal and accounting duties. We handle personal data in line with Nigerian data protection law.
Cookies. This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Terms of service
By using this website you agree to these terms. Artworks, designs, photos and text on this site belong to Gatoworks or the artists we show, and may not be copied or reused without permission.
Prices, availability and timelines are confirmed with you in writing (email or WhatsApp) before you pay. Items shown on the site are examples of our work and may already be sold. Colours can look different on different screens. For custom work, the brief, price and timeline we agree before you pay is what applies. We may update these terms and the date above will change when we do.
Refund policy
We want you to be happy with what you buy. Refunds, exchanges and credits are handled case by case and the terms are confirmed with you before you pay.
- Ready-made items (original paintings and stock items): tell us within 48 hours of receiving the item if it arrived damaged or is not as described, with photos, and we will agree a remedy with you.
- Custom orders (made-to-measure fashion, commissioned art, custom prints and merchandise): these are made specifically for you, so they cannot be refunded once production has started, unless we made an error or the item is faulty.
- Deposits pay for materials and work already booked. We will tell you clearly at the time whether a deposit is refundable.
Shipping policy
We deliver within Abuja and can arrange delivery to other parts of Nigeria. Delivery cost and timing depend on the item, its size and where it is going, and we confirm both before you pay. You can also collect from either of our showrooms. Please inspect your order on delivery or collection and tell us straight away about any damage. We pack artwork carefully, and large or framed pieces may need special handling, which we will quote for.
Ethical practices
We deal honestly: fair prices, clear timelines and no hidden charges. We credit the artists and makers whose work we show, and we do not sell copies of other people's work as our own. We treat customers, staff and suppliers with respect, and we handle your information carefully.
